Jeff Cragg brings over 16 years of exemplary law enforcement service and 25+ years of entrepreneurial leadership to Providence Security Services. Medically retired after a highly distinguished career with the St. Paul Police Department, Jeff’s tenure was marked by dedication, innovation, and professionalism. His extensive experience in public safety and his ability to lead with vision and precision have made Providence Security Services a trusted name in the industry.

His expertise in security trends for commercial, corporate, and residential sectors allows him to anticipate challenges and deliver forward-thinking, tailored solutions. Known for his "get it done" mentality, Jeff leads by example, working closely with clients and his team to uphold the highest standards of performance and trust.

Jeff holds a Master’s in Public Safety & Law Enforcement from the University of Saint Thomas and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University. Outside of his demanding role, Jeff is a diehard Minnesota sports fan, particularly of the Vikings. A former three-sport athlete, he stays active by engaging in sports and promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle. His leadership, strategic vision, and relentless commitment to success define the foundation of Providence Security Services.

Steve brings over 32 years of distinguished service with the St. Paul Police Department, including 27 years in SWAT and leadership roles as Team Leader, Sergeant, Commander, and Senior Commander. A proven expert in security operations, Steve has led thousands of critical incidents, large-scale events, and civil unrest responses, all while instructing comprehensive training programs in crisis response, active shooter scenarios, and mass casualty preparedness.

At Providence Security Services, Steve serves as a direct liaison between clients and the company, ensuring that security standards, policies, and procedures consistently meet the Providence standard of excellence. His expertise extends to facility vulnerability assessments, special event security, and crafting value-driven security programs that safeguard assets, tenants, guests, and stakeholders.

Steve’s extensive experience spans law enforcement, loss prevention strategy development for leading corporations like Target and Walmart, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations to advance safety and crime prevention initiatives. A St. Paul native, Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and is dedicated to delivering innovative, client-focused security solutions that foster safe and thriving communities.

Kent Cleveland brings 34 years of distinguished law enforcement experience to Providence Security Services, where he leads the development and implementation of our exceptional training programs. A retired Commander with the St. Paul Police Department, Kent’s career highlights include supervising the Investigative and Patrol Divisions, overseeing the FORCE Unit targeting problem properties and narcotics, and commanding the Mobile Field Force Unit during critical incidents. He also served as a Sergeant, Investigator, and SWAT team member, excelling in roles that demanded leadership, precision, and expertise.

Kent’s passion for training is reflected in his assignments as a Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, and Mobile Field Force Trainer, where he trained officers across Minnesota, including preparing 5,000 officers for the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul. His comprehensive knowledge of threat assessment, protection strategies, and operational planning ensures that Providence Security Specialists are among the best-trained in the industry.

Since retiring from the St. Paul Police Department, Kent continues to serve as a part-time officer in Northern Minnesota while enjoying the outdoors with his girlfriend, Kim, and their rescue dogs. His commitment to excellence and passion for service make him an  invaluable asset to the Providence Security Services team.
